Pediatric Emergency Room at Progress West Hospital

Having a sick child can be scary. You will know when you need to head straight to the emergency department in most cases, but sometimes it can be more difficult to determine if your child’s injury or an illness needs emergency medical attention.

St. Louis Children’s Hospital emergency care at Progress West Hospital will be there to help you through those trying times. We address the physical and emotional needs of each child, and provide a level of pediatric expertise that you won’t find in most community hospitals.

Our specially trained pediatric nurses have an average of 10 years of experience in pediatrics, and Children’s Hospital emergency physicians are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If you have non-urgent questions about your child’s health or condition, call the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Answer Line at 636.344.KIDS (5437) for advice from a pediatric nurse specialist. Any time you are in doubt or have urgent concerns, call 911 immediately.
